Family Connections is a program that gives families opportunities to build their network of support through our family-friendly events, activities, and newsletters.

  • Connections with families who have similar, shared experiences.

  • Connections for kids and adults with disabilities through activities provided at each event.

FAMILY GatheringS

Monthly events for families to connect and to explore local, inclusive organizations

adventure walks

Join us to explore the accessible green spaces in Knox County! All walks are 1 mile or less and highlight paths that are accessible for most mobility devices.

Sibshops

Fun, games and connection for siblings of children with disabilities. A place to meet each other, have fun, and share about their unique experience as a sib.

Age Groups: 5-7years and 8-13 years

A student-led program with fun games, crafts, and activities for kids with disabilities and their siblings in Kindergarten - 5th Grade.

Unstoppables Youth Sports

The Unstoppables league provides opportunities for children with special needs to participate in sports with their typical peers. Goal is to facilitate inclusion, acceptance and barrier free participation with their typical peers.
